Lost For Words

ABOUT

Lost For Words is my first attempt at releasing any music that I have written myself. Created as the main focus of a university project it really pushed me out of my comfort zone as I rarely share my music with my friends, let alone the internet.

The EP is currently available on YouTube and will be released on other platforms such as Spotify, Deezer, and Apple Music in early June.

THE BAND:

Euan Aitken

Bass and Guitar

I've known Euan since day one at Sheffield. Being my housemate for three years meant that I knew he would be an amazing band mate and his creative input really helped shape the music once we started recording. He is currently doing his final year of maths at Sheffield and plays bass in the university big band as well as many of the performing arts society productions.

Charlie Armstrong

Saxophone

Charlie is currently in his second year studying music at Sheffield. As well as playing sax he also sings in the university chamber choir with me. Interestingly, we actually grew up about 10 minutes away from each other back in Nottingham and even had the same singing teacher but did not meet each other until we met in Sheffield.

Rory Evans

Trumpet

Rory is currently studying in the same year as me, doing his third year of music at Sheffield. Like Euan, he also plays for many SUPAS productions and has also been the secretary of Big Band for the 22-23 year.

Harry Turner

Drums

Harry is yet another Big Band member for which he also plays drums. Studying music in second year I met Harry through a performance module in 2022 when he was able to stand in for another drummer in a recital. His drumming has been an amazing addition to the EP and has really helped bring the songs together, especially when compared to the original demo versions.
